The Vision and The Mission
We Believe (Abridged Version)
We believe there is One Eternal God: The Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost, Who created all things and has revealed Himself to mankind primarily through Nature, through the Bible, and in the Person of Jesus Christ.
Mankind was created in God’s image and after His likeness, to know Him and to make Him known. But man fell into sin through the instigation of Satan, himself a fallen angelic being and the original sinner. This sin separated man from God spiritually: man died.
God, having foreknown this would occur, had prepared to come to the earth, in the historic person called Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Through Jesus’ perfect and sinless Life, Death, and Resurrection, man’s access to God was restored, and Satan was defeated. Now if human beings proclaim and accept Jesus as Lord, renouncing sin and Satan, they can be spiritually born again, into the family of God.
The Holy Spirit indwelling and infilling those who are born again enables them to live like Jesus in every way.
Faith, repentance, water baptism are all fundamental principles for the one who is born again, the believer. By becoming a believer, a person also becomes a part of the Church, Christ’s extended Body on Earth, and is expected to exhibit holiness and love as his or her chosen lifestyle. This includes respect for all people, including civil leaders, provided that this respect never compromises the more important respect for the authority of God.
Jesus Christ will bodily return to the earth to rule and to judge the living and the dead. There is a judgment and an afterlife for all human beings. Those who know God will spend it in heaven; those who do not will spend it in hell.
